Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Navy Reserve, you will have opportunities to acquire new skills, sharpen existing ones, and enhance your civilian career. You will also receive educational assistance, tax-free privileges, and low-cost insurance options.
- Basic Pay: Receive 4 days of basic pay for only 2 days worked (16 hours) each drill weekend.
- Opportunities for Growth: Acquire new skills, sharpen existing ones, and enhance your civilian career.
- Educational Assistance: Continue education through Tuition Assistance, DANTES, post 9/11 or Montgomery GI Bill, US Naval War College, and Senior Enlisted Academy.
- Licenses and Certifications: Obtain certifications and licenses through the Navy Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL).
Qualifications and Requirements
If you are currently in the Inactive Ready Reserve or have been off active duty for over six months, you will need to work with a Navy Officer Recruiter to begin the process of affiliating with the RC. Locate the nearest Officer Recruiter on the Navy website or by calling Navy Recruiting Reserve Command.
Salary : $40,000 - $85,000
