Peer Recovery Specialist Opportunity

Job Summary:

As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will work directly alongside clinical crisis staff in facility and community settings to provide representation of the consumer perspective, assist in de-escalation and crisis intervention by offering empathy, emotional support, encouragement, and education that can only come from personal lived experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide empathetic support and education to consumers
• Work collaboratively with clinical crisis staff
• Participate in training and professional growth opportunities
• Contribute to the development of new programming and services

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A High School Diploma/GED
• Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (can be completed after hire)
• Lived experience with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) or Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or similar diagnosis
• Ability to explain how your lived experience qualifies you for this role
