Peer Recovery Specialist Opportunity

Job Summary:
As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will work directly alongside clinical crisis staff in facility and community settings to provide representation of the consumer perspective, assist in de-escalation and crisis intervention by offering empathy, emotional support, encouragement, and education that can only come from personal lived experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide empathetic support and education to consumers
- Work collaboratively with clinical crisis staff
- Participate in training and professional growth opportunities
- Contribute to the development of new programming and services
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A High School Diploma/GED
- Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (can be completed after hire)
- Lived experience with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) or Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or similar diagnosis
- Ability to explain how your lived experience qualifies you for this role
