This position is designed for experienced professionals who can participate in daily operations and maintenance of water treatment systems as directed by the project manager.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain equipment, instrumentation, and controls to ensure efficient operation of the treatment plant.
Perform routine testing and analysis of water samples to ensure compliance with regulations.
Participate in on-call rotation to respond to emergencies or unpredicted situations.
Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- 2 years' experience working in a water or wastewater treatment environment.
- A valid State motor vehicle operator's license.
- Must possess a minimum of a State Operator-in-Training Treatment and/or Operator-in-Training Distribution Operator Licenses – and possess the ability to acquire a Full Treatment and Class 2 Distribution Operator Licenses within 2 years.
- Working knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation' and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment and Collection Systems.
- Thorough knowledge of hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
