Job Title: Senior Data Modeling Expert
\At a leading healthcare organization, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Data Modeling Expert to join our team. This critical role involves driving the design, development, and governance of complex semantic models that empower human and machine understanding of vital clinical concepts and terminology relationships.
\The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end design, development, and evolution of complex semantic data models, with a primary focus on ontologies, knowledge graphs, and property graphs. They will transform intricate business needs into formal, scalable knowledge graph structures, ensuring tight alignment with the enterprise data strategy and long-term architectural vision.
\Key responsibilities include defining, documenting, and governing semantic assets, establishing best practices for entity definitions, relationship types, axioms, constraints, and data lineage. The expert will also partner closely with staff engineers, clinicians, content teams, and business leaders to deeply understand their domain knowledge and requirements.
\Additionally, they will implement robust data quality & consistency frameworks, validation rules, and transformation logic within the semantic layer to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of the knowledge graph.
\Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 7 years of hands-on work experience in semantic modeling and knowledge graph development, including experience in a lead or senior capacity. A strong working knowledge of OWL, RDFS, SHACL, and other semantic web standards is required.
\Preferred qualifications include extensive experience with leading graph database platforms (e.g., Amazon Neptune) and advanced proficiency in graph query languages (e.g., SPARQL). Strong collaboration skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills are essential for this role.
