Our team is looking for a highly skilled Senior Physics Programmer who can develop complex physics systems using C/C .
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Edinburgh, Scotland, at our state-of-the-art game development studio.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design, animation, and AI teams to implement complex features that utilize physics engines.
- Support the maintenance and expansion of existing vehicle systems throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Work closely with artists to create new interactive objects and vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Physics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent degree.
- 5 years of experience in game programming.
- Strong profiling and optimization skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passionate about gaming and problem-solving.
Desirable Skills
- Demonstrable experience with rigid, multi-body simulation and Newtonian mechanics.
- Strong understanding of linear algebra, trigonometry, matrix/quaternion math, and multi-threaded programming.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
