Diagnostic Imaging Professionals Wanted
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join our diagnostic imaging team as CT Technologists.
About the Role
This is a part-time, PRN opportunity that allows you to supplement your current income while maintaining flexibility in your schedule. As a CT Technologist with our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating and completing daily procedures, including prioritizing the sequence of operations, completing the actual exam, and following through with all necessary paperwork with minimal supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of CT equipment.
- Perform high-quality CT examinations and procedures that require the use of contrast agents.
- Manage patients during complex CT procedure exams.
- Follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
- Scan and label documents appropriately, resolve QA issues promptly, and ensure images are released to radiologists promptly.
- Adhere to radiation protection and dose reporting policies and processes.
- Assist other technologists when necessary to maintain productivity.
- Collaborate with radiologists on imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
Physical Effort Required
- Must be capable of lifting lbs, including patient lifting, positioning aids, portable ultrasound machines, and assisting with minor patient movements.
- Requires physical flexibility to bend, reach, twist, and adjust equipment or patients as needed.
- Prolonged standing or walking while performing scans, moving between patients, and positioning equipment is required.
Requirements
- RT (R), (CT), (ARRT), and BLS certifications.
- Ability to function as a CT Technologist in performing examinations of patients of all ages.
- Demonstrates competency in PACS process and performs daily QA process.
- Effective communication skills and excellent patient care skills are required.
- Functions proficiently with all technical equipment in diagnostic modality.
- Properly uses radiation protection and shielding material to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.
- Must be up to date on all vaccinations as required for hospital employment and pass any needed health screenings, including drug screening and background check.
