Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced
- Cloud Architecture Manager
- to lead our enterprise cloud initiatives on Microsoft Azure and Oracle OCI. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Azure infrastructure, including networking, security, application migration, modernization, and various Azure workloads and services. This role will manage a team of Azure Cloud Specialists, providing both technical leadership and strategic direction for cloud architecture and governance.
- Design Cloud Architecture
- Develop and implement Azure cloud architecture solutions that meet the scalability, reliability, and security needs of the organization.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Lead the design, configuration, and monitoring of Azure networking (WAG, WAF, VNETs, subnets, NSGs, etc.), compute (VMs, AKS, App Services, etc.), and storage (Blob, SQL, Cosmos DB, etc.) resources etc.
- Lead and Manage Azure Cloud Specialists
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to the cloud architecture team, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and best practices.
- Azure Network & Workloads Management
- Oversee and implement Azure networking solutions, such as VNETs, NSGs, load balancers, firewalls, and ExpressRoutes. Ensure the optimal deployment and management of Azure workloads (VMs, containers, functions, etc.).
- Cloud Security & Governance
- Establish and enforce cloud security protocols, including identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), and Azure Security Center. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Application Migration & Modernization
- Contribute in cloud migration strategy, including the assessment, planning, and execution of migrating on-premises applications to Azure. Implement modernization strategies such as serverless, containerization, and microservices architecture.
- Infrastructure Expertise
- Drive best practices for cloud infrastructure using Azure services such as Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, Azure Databases (SQL, Cosmos DB), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Cloud Strategy Development
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define the cloud strategy, prioritize workloads for migration, and ensure the cloud architecture meets enterprise scalability and performance needs.
- Cost Optimization
- Monitor and optimize Azure resource usage, ensuring effective cost management and recommending ways to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
- Provide high-level troubleshooting for cloud-based issues and support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Application Development, Information Security, and Infrastructure and Network Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and management of cloud services across the enterprise.
- Documentation & Best Practices
- Maintain documentation for all architecture designs, configurations, and processes. Promote and ensure adherence to cloud architecture best practices.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or information technology, or in lieu of degree, extensive years of experience 10 years of experience in IT with a strong focus on cloud architecture and solutions.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including networking, security, and infrastructure management.
- Experience in application migration and modernization
- particularly in moving on-premises applications to Azure Cloud.
- Deep understanding of cloud security frameworks
- and governance.
- Expertise in
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- App Services
- and Azure Databases.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- tools, preferably Terraform or ARM templates.
- Strong leadership skills
- with experience managing a team of cloud specialists, architects, or engineers.
- Proven ability to develop and execute cloud strategies at an enterprise scale.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
