Bedard Pharmacy & Medical Supplies is hiring a Medical Supplies Customer Service Representative (CSR). This is a full-time position Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. based in Auburn, ME. Hybrid work from home no more than two days per week is a possibility after promotion to a Level II role and at least nine months of employment.
Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative:
- Learns the products and services offered by Bedard, the computer systems used, and the guidelines and regulations required by federal, state, and accrediting organizations
- Handles customer contact over the telephone or via the web. The initial customer contact may be with the client, a caregiver, a referral source, or a commercial account.
- Receives, qualifies, and processes all customer medical supplies orders in a timely, efficient, accurate, and courteous manner
- Maintains and creates patient files
- Investigates and responds to customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, deliveries, and complaints
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- General office skills (computer, computer-based phone lines, typing, and filing)
- Proficient in or ability to learn Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint), NikoHealth, DocuTrack, and DocuSign
- Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, and listening), and good command of written and oral English
- Ability to work well in high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to changes in environment and/or workflow
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and great attention to detail
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to develop and maintain professional, service-oriented working relationships with customers, facility staff, and co-workers
- Clerical or customer service experience preferred
- Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance billing, bookkeeping, or medical office experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing, and/or walking for sustained periods of time, raising objects from a lower to a higher position and/or moving objects horizontally
- Frequent/continuous reaching, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 20 lbs. below waist level and at or above shoulder level
- Repetitive walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
