THE VITAL ROLE YOU'LL HAVE:
You'll enjoy a full-time schedule with no weekend work! Our clinic hours are Monday 7am-7pm, Tuesday 7am-5pm, Wednesday 7am-7pm, Thursday 7am-5pm, and Friday 7am-5pm.
As our Surgical Veterinary Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our surgical team, ensuring every procedure runs smoothly. From assisting with surgeries-including intake, discharge, and prep-to monitoring vitals and performing dental radiographs and prophylaxis, you'll play a crucial role in both the technical and educational aspects of our practice. You'll also be the go-to for client education on surgical and lab work, ensuring our clients feel confident and informed about their pets every step of the way!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:
- 2 years of surgical assisting experience
- Experience with dental radiographs/prophylaxis, IV catheterization, venipuncture, and administering medications/vaccines/treatments as directed by a Veterinarian
- Animal handling experience
- Radiology experience
- Proficiency with medical record-keeping and client education
- Strong customer service skills
