The Mt. Abraham Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced Long-Term Substitute Physical Education Teacher to serve students at Beeman Elementary School for a temporary assignment.
This position is anticipated to run from November 10, 2025, through January 6, 2026. The schedule includes two days per week on Tuesday and Thursday.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based physical education instruction and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment in the absence of the regular PE teacher.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high quality, standards-based physical education instruction to students in grades K-6.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
• Implement classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and productive physical education setting.
• Assess student performance and progress using appropriate tools and techniques; provide timely feedback to students and school
staff.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support the academic and social-emotional development of all students.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and any concerns or issues that arise.
• Participate in school meetings, professional development activities, and other school-related events as required.
