We have an immediate need in St. Joseph County and Elkhart County for community-based behavior consultants! We truly care about our employees' and clients' well-being. Behavior Services & Therapy is a well-respected established and growing company serving individuals with a wide range of behavioral needs.
Minimum Requirements for Behavior Consultants
- Masters Degree -- psychology, counseling, social work, special education, or BCBA certification REQUIRED
- Experience with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities desired but not required
- Live within one county of service area
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 direct behavioral interventions and training with the client.
- Conduct assessments for initial, new client intake and regular re-assessment for ongoing clients.
- For an initial, new client intake, submit functional behavior assessments (FBA) and behavioral support plan (BSP) within 45 days of the assessment.
- Provide regular (typically weekly) consultation with client in appropriate environment (home, community or day program) as authorized.
- Submit session note within 48-hours of consult to company's database.
- Monitor progress and review client program on a regular basis with teams to assess progress; make data-based decisions and changes to programs.
- Meet with client's school and attend IEP case conferences at Parent's request.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings.
- Complete Autism Module Training, CPR, First Aid.
