Custodian

Bel Air United Methodist Church is looking for a Part-Time Custodian to join our team to cover the weekends and for the times when our full-time custodians are out for sickness and vacations. You'll be responsible for keeping our building clean. In addition to keeping the inside of the building clean, you may be expected to keep the outside orderly, as well. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, so our janitor needs to be hardworking and willing to engage in a number of cleaning activities.

This is a week-end and on-call position

Janitor Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather and empty trash and trash bins
• Wash windows, walls, and glass
• Change light bulbs
• Notify managers when the building needs major repairs
• Keep buildings secure by locking doors
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming
• Clean spills and other hazards using squeegees and sponges
• Clean bathrooms and stock them with soap, toilet paper, and other supplies

Janitor Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D required
• Previous janitorial experience a plus
• Must be able to Lift at least 50 Lbs.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
