What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Specialist position at Belco Works Inc.?
This part-time position assists adult individuals with developmental disabilities in acquiring employment skills. Under general supervision of the Community Program Manager, the Employment Specialist is responsible for providing vocational support services to individuals served. Provides group and individual instruction, and assists individuals in securing employment opportunities.
Observes, evaluates, and documents individual’s performance, skills and behavior in a timely and accurate manner. Communicates and prepares reports and training progress. Assists individuals to overcome personal, social or behavioral problems affecting their vocational situations.
Develops services and goals for individuals and works with Direct Service staff to identify training needs and services. Attends individual service plan meetings and provides required information and reports for individual plan development.
May be required to transport individuals. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Must have HS diploma, driver’s license, reliable transportation, and pass background and drug test.
Position is part-time, Monday through Friday and may include evening or weekend job coaching.
