About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Export Manager with expertise in Fresh Produce Export or Cold Storage Freight to lead and optimise export operations, manage client portfolios, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations. This role requires strong connections in the airline sector to facilitate seamless operations and a proven track record in supply chain, shipping, and logistics. While qualifications are advantageous, the focus is on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitiveness.
• Oversee shipment execution, manage client portfolios, and engage with airlines on space, pricing, and queries.
• Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, import/export laws, and risk management protocols.
• Manage budgets, financial controls, and reporting for client-specific units/divisions.
• Build and support a high-performing team, focusing on staff development and performance management.
• Ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Fresh Produce Export or Cold Storage Freight is essential.
• National Certificate, Advanced Diploma, BTech, or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
  
• Additional qualifications in Freight/Transport Management or an MBA are advantageous.
• Over 7 years in a similar position.
• At least 15 years in supply chain, shipping, airfreight, and logistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and export management tools.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and industry standards.
• Efficiency in achieving goals.
• Strong team-building and collaboration skills.
