Subproduct: Create and lead a dynamic team as a supervising Speech Language Pathologist that has highly satisfied clients who complete their full plans of care and refer their family and friends to Believe Therapies by:
· Leading a engaged and creative speech team consisting of Speech Language Pathologist Assistants and Clinical Fellows
· Performing initial evaluations to establish a plan of care for medically necessary speech language services
· Training new speech therapy team members on job post functions
· Ensuring that each client meets a minimum of 2 therapy goals monthly and that other ongoing goals are being updated in a timely manner by completing monthly progress notes
· Performing re-evaluations to update a plan of care and document a need for medically necessary speech language services
· Performing direct or indirect supervision to meet licensing requirements of the speech team
· Providing the highest quality of service through a caring, compassionate, and empathetic demeanor to all clients and families
· Educating clients that are being seen for any type of treatment about the schedule and arriving on time to meet their plan of care
· Managing the speech therapy plan of care and documentation for ST clients within company timelines
· Completing client success stories as goals are obtained
· Receiving positive parent questionnaires upon a yearly assessment
· Utilizing evidence-based practice and skills to assess, plan, and evaluate interventions
· Completing discharge summaries as the clients complete or terminate their plan of care
· Identifying the need for an internal referral to another discipline within the company and address this with the client/family and follow the internal referral process
· Working with other health care professions, providing education and training as required
· Maintaining client confidentiality and follow all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) and company policies and procedures
· Maintaining safety of clients and staff by following all cleaning policies and procedures
· Collaborating with the Quality Manager for clinical in-services and continuing education as needed
· Performing other duties as requested
Skills, Duties and Responsibilities: Must be licensed as required in Texas and maintain current CPR certification and vaccinations. A supervisor must have at least two years of professional experience in providing direct client services (that may include the clinical fellow year) of full-time experience and completed 2 hours of professional development in supervision. Supervisor: Senior Therapist as assigned upon employment.
Schedule: This position is full-time, part-time, or PRN per the individual’s employment contract. Attendance is very crucial in this position so all time-off and lateness must be worked out beforehand when possible.
