Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for leading, managing and mentoring a team of Credit System Administrators. This position will also be an administrator for software systems used by various departments for the processing of commercial loans. Supported processes and their related systems include, but are not limited to, commercial and SBA loan origination, commercial pricing and profitability, loan loss reserve analysis and construction loan administration. This position facilitates the effective use of systems, by applying comprehensive knowledge to support, automate and improve the systems. This position analyzes the software to identify and propose solutions which may include opportunities to automate functions, streamline data interaction between systems and provide accurate, efficient and effective processes. This position will also act as a liaison and work closely with the content experts within the departments and teams that utilize these systems (i.e. Loan Documentation, Loan Operations, Credit and Commercial/Ag lending, Risk Management) within the bank.
Primary Duties:
- Manager:
- Lead and mentor a group of Credit System Administrators
- Maintain a healthy balance of work within the group and keeping team members on task towards their current goals
- Hire and train additional staff when appropriate
- Act as a liaison and lead special projects to advance the Bank’s infrastructure, systems, policies, procedures and processes.
- System Administrator:
- Provide setup and configurations for the systems.
- Create business requirements documents, user cases and user interface designs as needed.
- Coordinate with the IT team on software interfaces used by the systems.
- Maintain user roles, security settings, access settings, etc.
- System Analysis:
- Set up new functionality within the systems as they become available.
- Monitor the systems and ensure setup options are accurate and up to date.
- Analyze and trouble-shoot any system issues.
- Support interaction between systems and third party products.
- Gather team requirements to provide innovative solutions and recommend system, product and process enhancements.
- System Upgrade and Release Responsibilities:
- Monitor the system vendor’s website for any enhancements, updates or new functionality.
- Input and monitor all cases submitted to the system’s vendor.
- Prepare test scripts and coordinate testing within the affected departments and teams for any updates or enhancements to the system.
- Reports and Documentation:
- Document interfaces and interactions between the lending systems and the core system.
- Assist with and/or write, modify and update system forms and procedures as needed.
- Create system monitoring reports as needed.
- Client Management:
- Serve as liaison between the users of these systems and technology teams.
- Effectively manage user expectations related to the system.
- Work with the team to improve and streamline processes and procedures.
- Deliver high-quality customer service.
- Training:
- Develop, or assist with, training materials and procedures and conduct training programs as needed.
- Participate in providing training in a one-on-one or group setting as needed.
- Compliance:
- Work closely with Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure Bell is up to date with all compliance regulatory requirements.
- All employees are responsible for information security including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Required:
- B.A. or B.S. related to Business or Information Technology preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Related 5 years of banking industry experience, preferably in commercial credit and/or system administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with CreditQuest, Profit Stars, Banklabs, Abrigo and Salesforce applications preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio & SQL Server Reporting Services preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance best practice methodologies and complex business requirements.
- Detail oriented with outstanding analytical skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- High aptitude and interest in working with the business users to analyze processes and derive business requirements.
