What You’ll Do
As a Residential Plumber Technician, you are responsible for identifying and correcting plumbing problems in the areas of residential and light commercial applications. As well as, making repairs or completing installations that meet or exceed current plumbing codes. You always inspect and ensure that new systems work efficiently to fulfill Bell’s customers’ satisfaction, safety, and comfort.
You consistently deliver excellent customer service that ensures a high level of customer satisfaction. You have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and always address Bell’s customers in a respectful manner. Your essential duty is to provide professional guidance and advice for Bell’s customers to choose the most acceptable system to satisfy their requirements. Customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort are your highest priorities for success in this role.

Essential Job Duties
- Carry out mechanical and electrical inspection and maintenance on equipment to bring them to optimal performance
- Perform oiling, belt adjustment, cleaning of equipment, greasing, and other specific preventive maintenance work
- Determine service requirements by applying technical skills and experience, including system operations and preventive maintenance experience
- Serve as a company representative to other contractors, owners, and trades
- Give preventive maintenance inspections performed to representative/owner and suggest corrective actions to be applied
- Give advice on additional services to customers that may be beneficial to them
- Complete and submit needed paperwork in a timely manner to the service coordinator
- Perform other functions that may be assigned by management
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Possess high shool diploma or GED
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of verifiable plumbing experience
- Effective communication skills
- Possession of valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
- Advanced knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods commonly applied in repairing plumbing systems in residential buildings
- Skilled at diagnosing equipment and determining if repair and maintenance work is needed or not; and ability to keep records of work done, etc.
- Excellent ability to explain technical information to clients in a way they will understand
- Proficient in performing assigned tasks independently
Eligibility for employment at Bell Plumbing & Heating is contingent upon a background check that does not contain a conviction(s) of a felony(ies) within the last 5 (five) years from the date of background check.
For a position that requires driving a company-provided vehicle, a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) does not contain any of the following in the last 5 (five) years from the date of the MVR check:
- Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Vehicular manslaughter
- Using a vehicle to commit a felony
- Hit and run/leaving the scene of an accident
- Fleeing/eluding police or resisting arrest
- Reckless driving
- Speeding more than 15 mph over limit
- Open container violations
- Operating vehicles with a suspended/revoked license
- Passing a stopped school bus
- Railroad crossing violation
