DISHWASHER
Summary of Position :
Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the dish area and equipment clean and organized.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Load, run and unload dish machine.
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
Keep dish area clean and organized.
Ensure soiled tableware in bus pans are cleared from other areas (bar and takeout)
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Bag and haul dish area trash to dumpster at designed times.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Qualifications :
No previous restaurant experience required.
Be able to work in hot, wet and loud environment for long periods of time.
Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
FOOD RUNNER / BUSSER
Duties & Responsibilities :
In addition to Bella Cucina orientation training and server training guides listed separately
Deliver food to tables
Check food for accuracy
Transport trays of soiled dishes
Greet guests as they enter into premise
Provide preliminary information regarding menu
Prepare soups, salads & bread setups when required
Replenish food and beverages
Take additional orders when required
Bus, clear and carefully reset tables and chairs
Clean work areas
Wash dishes and assist in food preparation as needed
Qualifications :
Must have exceptional grooming habits
Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
Be able to list and carry heavy trays up to 40 lbs
Be able to communicate and speak clear, fluent English
SERVER
Duties & Responsibilities :
In addition to Bella Cucina orientation training and server training guides listed separately
Possess a good understanding of
o Food & bar menu items, to include recipes and preparation and service
o NCR Aloha Point-of-Sale (POS) system operation
o Accepting coupons, gift cards and other promos and comps
o The loyal rewards program
Be aware and review all regular menu variances and specials
Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise
Be ready and willing to assist bus persons with clearing and resetting tables
Assist in greeting guests upon their arrival and seating according to established procedures (rotation)
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant managers
Ensure opening and closing procedures properly completed
Keep busy with side work during slow periods
Possess complete understanding of the applicable North Carolina ABC regulations
Be aware of your shift schedule
Make suggestions for Bella improvement to Dining Room Manager
Qualifications :
Be able to communicate and speak clear, fluent English
Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
