QUALIFICATIONS : Prefer minimum of a high school diploma You must have a genuine interest in working with geriatric residents. You must have a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, and perform tasks despite frequent interruptions. You must have the ability to perform tasks with consideration for residents in your work area. You must have a good bedside manner. 1. Distribute resident meal trays and nourishment. 2. Collect meal trays. 3. Transport residents. 4. Make resident beds every day, changing linens per facility policy and as needed. 5. Keep resident bedsides clean at all times and personal belongings in orderly arrangement; organize resident drawers and closets. 6. Assist with resident room changes. 7. Retrieve linen carts from laundry 8. Transport soiled linen barrels to laundry. 9. Organize linen closets. 10. Assist in distributing residents’ clothes. 11. Distribute water and ice to residents. 12. Make sure water and call lights are within resident’s reach. 13. Answer call lights that do not require direct patient care. 14. Assist with resident activities. The “Sunshine Tech” may complete various other tasks pertaining to patient care as assigned by supervisor (EXCEPT tasks involving direct patient care).
