What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletics Training Office Assistant (FWS/SW) position at Bellevue University?
Primary Function: This position is primarily responsible for assisting with reception duties, clerical duties, and general cleanliness of the weight room facility. General duties include, but are not limited to, reception duties, clerical support to the athletic training staff, and general cleanliness of the weight room facility.
Essential Functions:
- Answer phones/take and relay messages; greet visitors warmly; ensure reception area is presentable and welcoming; collect and distribute parcels of mail and packages; assist with copying and faxing; assist with handling/filing of confidential student-athlete health-related records; assist with budget management; complete minor projects as assigned.
- Empty trashcans from common areas and offices; vacuum/dust/upkeep cleanliness of reception area, common areas, kitchen, conference room, offices, hallways, weight room.
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee/student-related information.
- Ability to work independently, but as part of team concept.
Working Conditions:
- Works in a loud environment.
- Constant bending, kneeling, crouching, walking, and lifting
- Required to work with cleaning chemicals on a regular basis
