TITLE: Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Site Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY:
To assume the responsibility for coordinating the overall account and serve as the primary point of contact for the building.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PLTW account:
- This role is responsible for the overall account, site, and classroom management and serves as the primary point of contact for the account. This role is authorized on PLTW.org to add/remove sites and programs, serves as the BHS Site Coordinator/collaborates with the building principal to identify Site Coordinators at other levels, manage users, and complete annual renewal forms and participation surveys. (Joanne Rebelo is the secondary pltw.org coordinator to allow for access to annual reports of the grant.)
Day to Day:
- This role is responsible for the day-to-day implementation and management of PLTW programs at a specific site. (There can also be a secondary site coordinator if needed)
- This role is also responsible for managing the rollout of new courses each year to ensure awarded grant specifications are followed, in conjunction with the building principal, and that meets the goal and vision of the school.
Classroom Management:
- This role is responsible for addressing classroom management including managing student users, accessing and publishing course curriculum, ensuring administration of End-of-Course (EoC) assessments, and accessing EoC results with the PLTW trained staff.
End of Course Assessment (EoC):
- All courses with an EoC must be rostered by a Program Coordinator or Site Coordinator.
- This role is responsible for preparing staff for administering the EoC and troubleshooting all technical issues that could arise for testing day. (See EoC manual for more information)
Budget, Training, and Supplies:
- This role is responsible for creating and following through with the budget outlines in the awarded grant application along with the ordering process/inventory for all durable materials (paid for by the grant) and consumables (paid for by the district)
- This role is responsible for the payment of annual participation fees through district funding through the PO process or managing the budgetary process for PTLW.
- This role is responsible for facilitating Core training registration for all PLTW staff to ensure all PLTW staff are properly trained to teach each specific PLTW course (covered by grant except room and board which is covered by the district)
Program Development:
- This role is responsible for coordination district-wide with the end goal being student job/internship placement at the high school level and the establishment of criteria and creation of pathways for diplomas of distinction.
SKILLS/ABILITY:
- Member of the BTA Staff
- Experienced and knowledgeable of PLTW program requirements.
SALARY: $1,000 Stipend

Salary : $1,000
