What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Quality Tech position at Bellmont Cabinets?
Quality Control Tech
Purpose:
To support Bellmont's current productivity and quality standards by performing all aspects of the Quality Control Technician role in accordance with Bellmonts standards. All employees are encouraged to provide input on improvements regarding safety, quality, productivity, etc. throughout the facility. No formal supervisory responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspects all finished parts for damage and defects
- Compare parts to color samples and ensure grain matching when applicable
- Alert appropriate team members to any items that do not meet quality standards
- If trained and assigned direct responsibility by area supervisor, prepare rework orders as applicable
- Keep track of the location of finished and reworked parts within the department using the Accountability App
- Coordinate movement of completed orders to the next department
- Responsible for scanning each cabinet's paperwork upon completion
- Perform work in a manner that complies with the companys safety policies, this includes housekeeping, organization, and PPE.
- Assist other departments as needed
Attributes / Qualifications:
The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability, and environmental conditions required
- Must be able to read and understand a tape measure
- Have good oral and written communication skills
- Must be a multi-tasker at a high rate of speed
Required Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
