Senior Claims Cyber

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Claims Specialist in Hartford, CT or NYC (midtown) with experience in Cyber, Tech PL, Media, and / or Crime Claims. The Senior Claims Examiner / Specialist is an integral part of our in-house claims servicing team. This role will be proactive in claims management and control of external vendors and third-party administrators. 90K – 110K Base Bonus Benefits Package

Responsibilities :

• Independently manage a book of Cyber, Tech PL, Media, and / or Crime Claims
• Liaison directly with insureds, underwriters, and brokers on a daily basis
• Evaluate coverage and draft position letters
• Utilize broad handling authority to employ best practices and guidelines to reach early resolutions favorable to customers and business
• Inform and update senior claims management on key claims and issues
• Maintain timely and accurate file documentation and target service levels
• Strategize with insureds and defense counsel to develop and implement the best plan to drive favorable resolution
• Communicate clearly and professionally with defense counsel to gain early understanding of liability, risk exposure, and costs
• Continually assess exposures and adequacy of claims reserves
• Proactively and professionally manage claims to control defense counsel and costs in cooperation with insureds and counsel
• Actively monitor and participate in underlying negotiations / litigation
• Attend mediations and / or settlement conferences where appropriate; travel as required
• Mentor and train junior claims examiners
