What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Advisor position at Belmont Capital Advisors?
Financial Advisor – Retirement-Focused Client Acquisition
Are you a motivated, people-first financial advisor ready to grow your book and make a meaningful impact? We're looking for a driven professional with a passion for working with individuals and couples in or nearing retirement. If you're energized by helping clients navigate one of life’s biggest financial transitions—and you're hungry to build lasting relationships—this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Turn warm leads into trusted clients using a consultative, needs-based approach—your primary mission is new client acquisition.
- Focus on helping pre-retirees and retirees make smart, confident financial decisions as they transition into and through retirement.
- Serve as the lead advisor for the clients you onboard—building long-term relationships rooted in trust and results.
- Host retirement-focused educational workshops, dinner events, and workshops to generate interest and establish your credibility as a retirement planning expert.
- Conduct in-depth consultations to understand retirement goals, income needs, and lifestyle priorities.
- Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to drive lead generation campaigns and maximize outreach success.
- Deliver high-quality financial advice in key retirement-related areas: income planning, investments, tax strategies, Social Security optimization, estate planning, and healthcare/Medicare.
- Create, present, and deliver comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client’s unique retirement vision.
- Role will be in person at one of our three Charlotte Metro area locations.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of experience in financial advising, with a strong interest or background in retirement planning.
- “Hunter” mentality—motivated by performance-based compensation, opportunity, and personal growth.
- Proven experience onboarding or acquiring new clients; confident working in a growth-focused, client-facing role.
- Series 65 license (or equivalent) required; CFP® strongly preferred.
- Background in financial wholesaling or sales preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a genuine desire to improve clients’ lives during retirement.
- Variable Compensation Package.
This is an exciting opportunity for an advisor ready to step into a high-impact role, help people retire with confidence, and be rewarded directly for their results.
