As a management trainee in our Chef Manager in Training program, you will learn from our best culinary leaders how to bring this exceptional dining experience to life through leadership, dedication, and skill. Upon successful completion of the Chef Manager in Training program, participant must have flexibility in relocating to another city for promotion to a Chef Manager position. Prior Sous Chef experience in senior living, hotel restaurant or banquet setting, or a high volume restaurant is strongly preferred.
Salary range: $65,000-$70,000
- Working collaboratively with and learning from experienced Chefs, Regional & Corporate leadership to manage and operate a high volume dining services program within a large senior living community.
- Demonstrating your culinary talent through the preparation and production of meals using approved recipes.
- Ensuring the highest standards are met consistently through the preparation, presentation and delivery of a hospitality based dining services program.
- Learning effective management and leadership skills to include interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, motivating and scheduling of a large team.
- Learning how to efficiently run a high volume kitchen and restaurant by following company guidelines and regulatory expectations within a defined budget.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Upon successful completion of the Chef Manager in Training program, participant must have flexibility in relocating to another market in order to be promoted to a Chef Manager position.
- Proficient in verbal and written English
- Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferable of the a-la-carte or banquet nature
- Minimum 1 years supervisory and leadership experience
- Interest in working with older population
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include early morning or evening shifts
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and Point of Sale System (POS)
