Your Typical Daily Responsibilities
- Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
- Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation
- Properly manage cook times while preparing and multitasking several orders at a time
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures
- Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times
- Being flexible and adaptable to different schedules, tasks and evolving needs within the department
- Ability to actively listen, observe, identify and anticipate guests needs with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability to follow detailed instruction while working as part of a team to achieve a collective goal
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and understand English
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and speak proficient English
- Minimum of 6 months line cook experience in upscale casual dining or an equivalent environment
- Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules including weekends and holidays as needed
- Desire to learn advanced culinary skills and techniques
- You are interested in career growth in the senior living or hospitality field

- You are self-directed with strong active listening skills and efficient time management skills
