POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Parts Manager at Beltway Companies, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the Hagerstown Parts Department and ensuring optimal performance. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Set and achieve department goals
- Train and supervise staff
- Manage the operating budget
- Maintain balanced inventory and optimize turnover
- Establish pricing and profitability parameters
- Oversee stock ordering and special orders
- Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory
- Develop and manage a wholesale parts program
- Ensure high-quality customer service and timely parts turnaround
- Conduct meetings, oversee payroll, and ensure compliance with safety and regulations
- Prior experience in transportation, parts, or service environments required
- Qualifications include technical school degree in automotive or diesel, parts counter experience, or vehicle/heavy duty equipment repairs
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and collaboration with all departments
- Conduct oneself and maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to embrace change
- Good verbal and written communication skills with a positive attitude
- Basic PC skills, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to stand, move constantly, and work outside for an 8-hour shift

- The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range would be $50,000 to $75,000 with bonus opportunities
