What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Horizon Rec Aide position at Belvidere Park District?
Description:
The Camp Horizon Recreation Aide works "hands on" with all participants in Camp Horizon (summer day camp). This position helps the Camp Horizon Counselor to conduct a variety of group activities. Aides are also responsible for the safety and welfare of the participants at the program.
Classification: Seasonal, Part-time, Class 1
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week. The program runs from approximately end of May through late August. Camp Hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Scheduled work hours will vary. A schedule will be provided. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Requirements:
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Prior experience with special populations.
Flexibility, enthusiasm and a genuine interest to work with individuals who have disabilities.
Dependable, prompt and punctual.
Medic First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (or equivalent) is required within 30 days of employment. If you are not already certified, training
