Description:
As a New Horizon Instructor you will be responsible for carrying out the daily tasks of the New Horizons Adult Day Program. You will be required to work alongside adults with disabilities and assist them in the activities they are performing while attending the day program. Personal care/assistance is a requirement during the program.
Classification: Regular Part-time Class 1 (Year round position)
Hours: Approximately 18 hours per week. New Horizons Day Program Hours are from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. from Monday-Friday. Hours may vary. Some weekend and night hours will be required.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience and/or knowledge of working with persons with disabilities.
Valid IL Driver's License and good driving record.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more on a consistent basis.
Medic First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (or equivalent) is required within 30 days of employment. If you are not already certified, training will be provided.
CPI Certified or ability to obtain. Training will be provided.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.21 per hour
