Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The Behavior Technician will work with individuals, particularly children, with autism spectrum disorder to implement behavior intervention plans. Students are grade 1 through transition at 22, small classroom settings.
Duties:
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Provide direct 1:1 therapy to individuals with learning disabilities
- Collect data on client progress and behaviors
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Conduct activities that support daily living skills (ADLs) and behavioral goals
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in behavioral therapy or mental health settings is a plus
- Proficient in data collection methods and analysis
- Understanding of behavioral health practices and interventions
- PMT required, but will be provided if necessary
- BACB Registered BehaviorTechnician certification in progress or completed
