Overview:
Benaim Eye & Aesthetics is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe to join our growing practice.

The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for daily patient care and productive patient flow as well as assisting the physician and front desk wherever necessary.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Accurate and efficient documentation of patient history and chief complaint
- Accurately perform slit lamp examination, tonometry, Amsler grid and refraction
- Assist the physician with scribing, in-office procedures, and lasers
- Accurately perform visual fields, pachymetry, OCT, corneal topography, fundus photography
- Communicate with patients involving follow up care for surgeries and procedures
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment
- Stock medical supplies
- Returns phone calls to patients, pharmacies, and other physicians daily
Qualifications:
- Ophthalmology knowledge and related work experience (Preferred)
- Successful completion of JCAHPO COA, COT, COMT (Preferred)
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems, Knowledge of Modernizing Medicine (EMA)
- Looking for a hard worker who can adapt to different clinical situations. Someone who is self-directed and completes tasks at hand.

Pay rate is negotiable depending on experience.
