What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roving Relationship Teller position at Benchmark Community Bank?
Serves as the first line of contact with the bank's customers, listening to their needs and providing financial products and services to meet their needs. Performs all duties in compliance with the bank's policies and procedures. Position involves travel based on a specific market area with paid mileage reimbursement. Prince Edward, Nottoway, and Lunenburg counties are the primary travel areas for this role.
DUTIES
Paying and Receiving Teller
Greeting customers and initiating dialogue to determine their banking needs
Routine accepting of deposits and payments, disbursing cash, and day-end settlement of same
Enhancing customer relationships by understanding all of the bank's products and services, initiating conversations to identify customers' needs and recommending products and services to match those needs
Taking personal ownership of any customer problems to see that they get resolved
Directing customers to various departments of the bank when requests are not normally handled by tellers
Transferring excess cash to Vault Teller
Ordering and verifying cash received from Vault Teller
Giving account balances to customers when requested
Answering telephones when secretary and receptionist are busy (at branch offices only)
Completing Currency Transaction Report (CTR) for all transactions over $10,000
Assisting with night deposits (dual control)
Other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates should have a mastery of their position, either Teller or CSR. This candidate is expected to have strong customer service and teamwork skills. They are to be friendly, flexible, and ready to jump in to help those in need at a moment's notice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to produce high quality work under tight deadlines.
