What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Benchmark Utility Services?
Benchmark Utility Services is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to work in office and make occasional site visits around the DMV area. The individual will be responsible in assisting with planning, managing, and overseeing all administrative and field construction activities of all assigned construction projects.
Job Responsibilities for Project Manager Assistant
- Assist Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
- Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
- Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
- Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
- Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
- Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
- Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
- Manage the scope of the project(s),
- Develop and manage the overall schedule with the ability to meet milestones on time while staying on budget
Job Requirements:
- Minimum (3) years of relevant experience

- Follow-up and follow-through on each portion of the project is essential
- Needs to have excellent computer skills with Microsoft office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Must have a bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is preferred
