Billing Analyst
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review spreadsheets which provide billing information and historical data. Review lease information to insure proper billing of tenants.
- Analyze and apply appropriate utility billings to spreadsheets.
- Review each billing that is generated. Print invoices and distribute letters to all new tenants, showing monthly recurring charges,
- Analyze common area maintenance charges (CAM) and properly apply to tenants accounts receivable. Review all invoices, credit memos and cash applications. Review lease information, payments, property ledgers, and square footage. Apply appropriate administrative and overhead costs to bills from lease information.
- Apply appropriate consumer price index to tenant charges as called upon.
- Assist in projects such as percentage rent, sales reporting, recurring rent and liability & fire insurance billing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 2 plus years experience in accounts receivable or payable analysis, with experience in general ledger coding.
- 2-year accounting degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience in high volume billing.
- Excellent math skills and communication skills (written and verbal) with high level of attention to detail.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Excel/spreadsheet preparation including formulas and Microsoft Word.
Relationships
- Report to Supervisor, Billing Department.
- Daily written and verbal communication with tenants, Insurance Department and Human Resources.
- May assist Real Estate Tax Billing Supervisor in preparation of tax bills.
- Communicate with lease agents, lease attorneys and lease review analysts as called upon to obtain information or question lease agreements.
- Communicate with property management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reps and insurance personnel regarding agreements and seeking of information on utility questions.
Pay Range: $23.00 - $27.00 Hourly
Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
