What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Clinical Operations position at Benedictine?
Overview
Creates clinical competencies and provides leadership and direction through planning, developing, monitoring and ensuring the execution of Benedictine initiatives and policies that focus on improving the care delivery systems throughout Benedictine’s clinical operations.
Responsibilities
Ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality clinical nursing practices with measurable results at all levels of direct care throughout Benedictine.
Provides leadership and direction to social services function throughout the organization to ensure appropriate policies and protocols are established and monitored, and that service excellence is provided from first point of contact with potential clients and/or referral agents through the entire client experience within our communities.
Provides overall leadership and oversight to Clinical Reimbursement function.
Ensures the development of assigned performance excellence initiatives/standards for the organization and establishes methods to evaluate performance to goals.
Selects, trains, and ensures the performance of the Clinical Services Group (CSG), which supports all Benedictine communities with the goal of recruiting and retaining professional and motivated associates for Benedictine.
Assists with clinical crisis management.
Serves as a Benedictine liaison and leader in external relationships, including but not limited to, vendors, state policy leaders, association leadership, hospitals, physician groups, medical directors, etc.
Serves on Benedictine committees as a leader or participant in line with the strategic plan and organizational goals.
Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.
Performs other duties, tasks, and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing
Licensed Registered Nurse
BLS Certification
Experience in long-term and/or acute care settings
Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in a clinical leadership role with responsibility for multiple facilities/communities
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Master’s Degree
Strong university/academic ties and faculty appointments and teaching experience

Salary Range
$210,000-$230,000
