Social Media Specialist
Location: Surprise, AZ
Rate of Pay:$26.71, Hourly/Non-Exempt position
Work Hours: Approximately 25 hrs per week Monday-Friday, Hourly/Non-Exempt position
What will you be doing?- The Social Media Specialist will manage and grow Benevilla’s online presence by creating compelling content, engaging with the community, and driving awareness of the organization’s mission. This role is essential to building brand awareness, increasing donor engagement, and promoting programs that benefit our community. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated individual with a passion for storytelling, a deep understanding of social media trends, and a commitment to nonprofit work.
What qualifications do you need?-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience (2 years) managing social media accounts, preferably for nonprofit organizations or community-focused initiatives.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and trends, as well as best practices for audience engagement and growth.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a talent for storytelling.
Experience with graphic design, photography, or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms).
Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or Later.com.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
