Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School seeks substitute nurses to: - Care for sick and injured students and faculty, dismiss ill or injured students as appropriate- Work to create and maintain an educational environment that is safe for each student, considering their medical diagnosis- Administer prescribed medications and treatments- Document care provided- Collaborate with parents and school staff regarding student health issues as they arise. This may include issues related to illness, injury, health promotion, accident or illness prevention, or other issues relevant to the scope of nursing practice in a school- Accompany students on field trips- Perform other duties as assigned, as appropriate for RN licensureThis is a substitute position, which would be called in based on the needs of the school.BFCCPS opened in 1995 as one of the first Charter Schools in Massachusetts.
