Description
Bennett Day School is a progressive independent day school looking for passionate educators with innovative spirit and rich background in early childhood and primary classroom experience. We are a new school that focuses on student engagement in school life and learning.
Custodial personnel ensure the safety of Bennett Day School through performance of general cleaning and maintenance of sanitary systems at all facilities including building and grounds. The work is carried out under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Facilities and Business Officer.
Job Hours:
- 4:30 PM to 1:00AM M-F
Job Qualifications:
- Prior school custodial experience preferred
- Accountability for time and inventory management

Job Specifications:
- Perform facilities custodial services ensuring adherence to school standards
- Maintenance and cleaning of school grounds
- Cooperate with school management to ensure all work is accomplished in a timely manner
- Report any observed maintenance or repair issues to Director of Facilities
- Recommend custodial services as building needs dicate to Director of Facilities
- Attend any meetings as requested
- Assist in the set up/breakdown for assemblies, meetings and events at all Bennett Day School facilities
- Deliver and store cleaning supplies and school wide deliveries as needed
- Maintain custodial inventory and recommend purchase of custodial supplies in accordance with set policies and procedures at Bennett Day School
- Ensure facilities compliance with national school board, state and local government standards and requirements
- Ensure that all activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Bennett Day School
- Custodial personnel perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and the administration.
