Description
The Driver Compliance Specialist I is responsible for ensuring compliance with FMCSA rules and regulations pertaining to one or more of the following compliance items: drug / alcohol testing, physical qualification, CDL licensing, and MVR monitoring.
- Excellence in customer service while ensuring company compliance with all FMCSA rules and regulations pertaining to one or more of the following: drug / alcohol testing, physical qualification, CDL licensing, MVR monitoring, rider permits, and previous employment verifications.
- Ensure all compliance deadlines are met as specified by the FMCSA or company policy, maintaining company and driver compliance at all times, regarding the renewals of CDLs and physicals.
- Review compliance items submitted, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, and update company systems appropriately.
- Escalate matters of non-compliance or non-compliant submissions to department management.
- Notify drivers of and schedule random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing in accordance with all FMCSA rules and regulations in coordination with operations and testing facilities.
- ability and readily answer questions and assist those contacting the Driver Compliance Department via phone, email, or other communication channels in a timely manner.
- Greet guests to the Safety Department and provide assistance as needed for all walk-ins.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Experience in the transportation / logistics industry.
- Data entry, driver onboarding and qualifications, safety, and FMCSA compliance preferred but not required.
- Must be skilled in critical thinking and accurate data entry.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks, complete them with the highest quality, and ensure efficiency across all job functions.
- Must be proficient in MS Office, comfortable navigating the internet and email, and able to quickly learn and adapt to internal systems.
