Duties
- Assist senior engineers in overseeing daily construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Support the preparation and review of construction estimates using tools such as HeavyBid and other estimating software.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to facilitate smooth communication and coordination.
- Monitor project progress, track costs, and help implement cost control measures to stay within budget.
- Participate in site inspections, safety audits, and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of safety and workmanship.
- Assist in reviewing contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Use Bluebeam or similar digital tools for document management, drawing reviews, and reporting.
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction estimating principles and experience with tools like HeavyBid or equivalent software.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for document markup, editing, and collaboration
- Strong negotiation skills to coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of construction site operations including safety protocols and site management practices.
- Experience or exposure to construction management processes such as scheduling, cost control, and project tracking.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical specifications
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and teamwork across diverse project teams.
