Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Teach middle school math and elective courses
- Serve as a co-advisor to a group of students
- Participating in various aspects of student life at Bentley such as advising students, clubs, coaching, or working with student organizations
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and are in accordance with school standards.
- Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
- Desire and capacity to teach
- Commitment to guiding the development of students’ visual communication, artistic expression, critical thought, contextual realization, self-reflection, and time management skills.
- Ability and willingness to work with students in large and small group settings using multiple teaching methods to reach a broad range of students.
- Work collaboratively with administration, grade level teachers, specialists, and advisors
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, students, and families
- Support and following school policies and procedures
- Create a positive learning environment both remotely and on campus where students thrive academically
- Engage in regular supervisory duties including recess and lunch
- Attend regular faculty, grade-level, and weekly department meetings
- Attend Open Houses and other special events
- Being a positive and contributing member of the Bentley community
- Communicating effectively with parents through conferences, and report writing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Master's in a related field
- Experience teaching mathematics
- Experience in an interdisciplinary environment with an emphasis on group collaboration and the use of technology
- Experience in teaching problem-solving skills in addition to traditional core content
- Ability and willingness to work with students in large and small group settings using multiple teaching methods to reach a broad range of students
- Desire to continually examine one’s practice with the goal to improve student learning

Pay Range:
Bentley uses a competitive salary scale, which takes into account experience, education, and skill level. The salary for this position ranges from $69,525 - $139,050.
