Service Manager

For over 30 years Bentley Truck Service has been a full-service commercial truck dealership offering commercial truck leasing, truck rentals, new and used truck sales, parts, and service. Bentley Truck Services is an authorized dealer for Isuzu Commercial Trucks, Hino Trucks, Mitsubishi Fuso, and Workhorse Trucks. We have locations in Northeast Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, and Landenberg in PA, Logan Twp. & Maple Shade in NJ, New Castle, Delaware and Miami, Florida.
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our company’s service department and manage customer interactions. Their primary duties include overseeing other members of the service team, developing, and implementing service procedures and maintaining customer relationships. Job Summary:
The Service Manager is responsible for all operations within the service department, from hiring and managing technicians and service advisors, to customer service.
Responsibilities:

• Schedules service appointments, reviews recall and PM reports.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and works closely with shop foreman and service technicians.
• Refers to service and warranty history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service.
• Effectively manages team members, including technicians and advisors, to ensure team objectives and sales goals are being carried out.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and Works closely with shop foreman and service technicians.
• Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Offers exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by upselling products and services and taking care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally.
• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
• Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• Computer skills required.
• Excellent managerial skills.
• Experience in the automotive/truck field.
• Persuasiveness and sales-closing abilities.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Great attitude with a high-energy personality.
• 3 years of automotive experience and automotive technical school certificate/degree/ASE Certifications preferred.
• Must be an excellent communicator and speaker both online in written interactions, and face-to-face customer service interactions.
