JOB SUMMARY
This position serves as the first point of contact at the front counter and on the phone for U.S. Passport, Voter Registration and Election customers. The Deputy Clerk Assists management and staff in the conduct of all Elections and Passports Division activities. Successfully completes required trainings and supports division operations to maintain compliance with governing statutes, policies and guidelines.

- This is a part time, benefit eligible position that will flex time within each pay period to meet 0.75 FTE equivalency.

- Annual salary range of:
- $19.88 - 26.08 Hourly
- This position is eligible for up to two salary raises within your first year. An Increase may be given at the end of the 6-month probationary period, depending on starting salary, and at the 1-year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Annual performance-based increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (AS21)
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
- High School diploma or GED; AND
- 4 years of professional work experience in general office or administrative support

Special Requirements:
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License or ability to obtain.
- Ballot return signature verification training or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Certification for processing U.S. Passport Applications or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Some election and passport acceptance experience.
- Experience in Oregon Voter Registration System and Helion receipting.
- Knowledge of and experience with the operation of office machinery, computers, and software such as Microsoft Office products.
