Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance to the returns team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Develop labor plans based on projected returns volume and SLAs to ensure optimal resource/headcount allocation.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure returned items are properly.
- Inspected and processed according to company standards and client requirements.
- Ensure timely achievement of assigned production goals.
- Develop and implement standardized procedures for handling returns efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with the operations team to establish streamlined processes, maximizing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to returns processing.
- Set clear performance objectives and provide feedback to team members on a regular basis.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration and safety.
- Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of return-related issues.
- Identify root causes of returns and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions to minimize future returns.
- Maintain accurate records and generate aged reports to monitor productivity.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a 3PL environment or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of returns management processes, industry best practices, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate, including reading, writing, and speaking in English and Spanish.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Work Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs.
- Work overtime as assigned.
