What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager-Architecture position at Bergmann?
#TeamBergmann is looking for licensed Architects to join our Toledo, OH and Lansing, MI offices as a Project Manager!
What You'll Be Doing: The Project Manager is responsible for leading, overseeing, supervising, and coordinating project activities. Fulfill the role of Project Architect and AOR on most projects; pending the size/complexity of projects a separate project architect may be assigned.
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate has a Bachelors and/or Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent work experience as required to maintain their licensed architect status, and 10 or more years of experience as a licensed architect in Ohio and/or Michigan.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Previous use and understanding of AutoCAD and Revit design software with the ability to produce preliminary and schematic designs in AutoCAD at a minimum, but Revit is desired.
- Strong communication skills required to navigate and negotiate between owner requests and Bergmann's best interest
- Willingness to mentor team members on technical and professional skills
- Previous business development and project management experience preferred in planning and executing design/construction projects
- Ability to work in close collaboration with other managers and leadership, clients, in-house and outside consultants
- Client facing experience
- Ability to work primarily independently
- Willing to travel occasionally to client sites and meetings
Our Project Managers also:
- Ensure the success of the projects under their management
- Serve as the primary design liaison to the client and oversight of construction documents
- May assign tasks to and oversee the work of design/production staff
