WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Diagnosis and Repair: Accurately diagnose diesel engine issues using advanced diagnostic equipment. Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and other diesel-specific components.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections to ensure vehicle performance and safety.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated on the latest diesel technology and repair techniques. Use this knowledge to provide top-quality service and recommendations.
- Quality Control: Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure issues have been resolved and the vehicle meets safety and performance standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each repair.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with service advisors, parts consultants, and other technicians to ensure seamless workflow and guest satisfaction.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pay: Flat rate pay structure with an earning potential of $100,000 dependent on experience and productivity.
WHO'S RIGHT FOR THE JOB?
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Diesel Technician. ASE certification in Diesel Engine Repair is preferred. Ford experience is preferred.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions systems, and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and repair techniques specific to diesel engines.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Guest Service Orientation: Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing a high level of service to our guests.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical training or certification in diesel technology is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a reputable record is required
