SUMMARY
Arcticom, LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Senior Java Developer for the Beavercreek OH area. The Java Developer will work as part of a product team delivering product support and supply chain solutions on a One Network platform instance.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design, develop, refactor, test and maintain new features and improve existing code base using Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, Ext JS, JUnit, Java GUI Libraries (SWT, AWT) and Eclipse.
- Work with UI technologies.
- Implement J2EE concepts (RESTful Web services and MVC pattern) using various SDKs.
- Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures using Oracle.
- Debug identified system problems submitted via JIRA issues, update and manage requirement documents using Confluence.
- Work with integration frameworks including EDI, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP etc.
- Merge code between different branches and manage revisions using Git.
- Collaborate with developers, subject matter experts, and functional personnel throughout the development process, including reviews, planning, and documentation.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)
- Five (5) years of developing applications using Java.
- Two (2) Experience supervising software developers.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related experience.
- Hold or be able to acquire a government security clearance; requires U.S. citizenship.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
- Expert level in Java programming.
- Experience in Computer architecture.
- Experience with error handling and reconciliation mechanisms
- Experience with code reviews to improve software security (using SAST/CAST in CI/CD)
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a product team.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred
- Experience with Agile product management

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
