We Are Offering A $2,000 Sign-On Bonus! Who We Are Looking For:  Are you the Special Education Teacher we have been looking for? Berkshire Meadows offers multiple services and programs for individuals with complex and significant medical, intellectual and developmental differences. Programs include a 365-day-a-year residential school for students between the ages of 6 and 21, residential and day habilitation programs for adults, and 24/7 nursing and medical services. Berkshire Meadows operates both in community settings and at a beautiful campus with state-of-the-art equipment and therapy animals, as well as a fully accessible indoor pool.    Teach students with autism and complex special needs in a warm, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate, consistent and reliable with a desire to make a difference in the life of individuals with limited communication, physical and cognitive skills. The ideal candidate must be a team player capable of effectively working across departments while providing a positive and supportive environment. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM to 4PM (Some Flexibility)    Salary commensurate with experience.  PLUS $2,000 Sign-On Bonus ($1,000 paid after 4 weeks of employment and another $1,000 paid after 6 months on the job.)   What You'll Do: Develop and prepare instructional materials Implement evidence-based practices in the classroom Complete all required assessments and reports per State and Federal guidelines Work collaboratively to compose student IEPs with the team Understand and implement each student’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP) Supervise classroom paraprofessionals Why JRI?   To positively make a difference in the lives of others A career not just a job – opportunities for professional growth and advancement Get paid for an 8-hour day but only work 7.5 hrs (1/2 paid break) Be who you are! Requirements:  MA DESE License in Special Education (severe disabilities preferred) AND we can consider candidates pursuing their license or is able to be waivered. Supervision and training will be provided to expand your professional expertise. Out of State certifications considered.  Applicants with a current certification in CPR are preferred. Training provided if needed. Applicants must be able to work alone unsupervised. Applicants must maintain valid driver’s license. Background and driving record checks will be performed.
