What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media & PR Intern position at BERNARD JAMES?
Bernard James Fine Jewelry is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media and PR Intern for the Spring semester. As an intern, you will work directly with our team to assist with various aspects of marketing and PR, including but not limited to:
- Research trends and suggest social strategies for organic growth
- Manage social media calendar, schedule posts, and engage with audience
- Actively create weekly photo and video content
- Assist with monthly social media analysis
- Prepare PR pulls and media clippings
- Assist with influencer outreach and gifting programs
- Assist with event planning and execution
- Researching and identifying potential brand partnerships and collaborations
- Assist our publicist and develop and execute PR campaigns
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Social media savvy with a deep understanding of various social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude and ability to work independently - Very important!
- Passion for the luxury industry and interest in fine jewelry is a plus
- Must be aesthetically aligned with our brand voice
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 20hrs/week, 3-6 months (with potential extension to a full year), flexible start and end dates - ideally starting immediately through the summer semester
Compensation: monthly stipend school credit available
