Job Summary
Bernard Wealth Management Corp. is a growing, client-focused, investment advisory firm in Royal Oak, Michigan. We are seeking a motivated, friendly and caring professional to serve as Client Service Manager and help lead the firm’s operations efforts. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a clear desire to interact with colleagues, clients, and other contacts. Preference will be given to individuals who demonstrate the willingness and ability to improve and document the firm’s procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Client Service Manager can expect to focus on the following areas:
· Provide initial and ongoing contact for clients and prospects in person and through phone and email
· Set up new client and additional client accounts
· Initiate and track asset transfers
· Assist clients in completing firm and custodian paperwork as needed
· Review portfolio transactions and activities; prepare reports for daily processing
· Communicate with clients’ other advisors as needed (CPAs, attorneys, etc.)
· Prepare reports and financial plans for client meetings and reviews
· Prepare spreadsheets for ad-hoc projects
· Support investment team as needed
· Interact with Charles Schwab and other custodians to ensure correct and timely completion of client service requests
· Schedule meetings as needed for investment professionals, including 401(k) enrollment
· Understand, update, and implement firm operating procedures
· Update website and social media with new content
Qualifications
The Client Service Manager position typically requires the following qualifications:
· Minimum 3-5 years experience in the financial services industry
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent education
· Series 65 license and Michigan Insurance License preferred but not required
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Adobe Acrobat and DocuSign
· Experience with portfolio management and reporting software; Envestnet’s Tamarac is currently used
· Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask
· Friendly, outgoing, client-first attitude
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills
· Team player, collaborative, able to work with others
· Desire and ability to work successfully in a small company environment
